Elementos determinantes del ecoturismo para una actividad económica ambientalmente sostenible: Caso corregimiento de Tutunendo Quibdó-Chocó en Colombia

    Este artículo tuvo como propósito, identificar si el corregimiento de Tutunendo (Colombia), poseía los elementos determinantes para el desarrollo del ecoturismo, como actividad económica ambientalmente sostenible. La metodología fue cuantitativa y consistió en un trabajo de campo, mediante la aplicación de una encuesta a una muestra de 336 habitantes. Los resultados arrojaron que Tutunendo de los siete elementos analizados, 2, estaban en un intervalo de 3,41 - 4,20, indicando alta presencia de estos para el desarrollo del ecoturismo. 3 en un intervalo de 1,81 a 2,60 de baja presencia. 2 elementos, en el intervalo de 1,00 - 1,80 considerado de muy baja presencia. Se concluye que, no están dadas las condiciones para hacer del ecoturismo una actividad económica ambientalmente sostenible al obtenerse un promedio general de 2,58. indicando grandes debilidades. De esta manera, se identificaron los elementos que deben fortalecerse para el desarrollo del ecoturismo.

    The purpose of this article was to identify whether the village of Tutunendo (Colombia) had the determining elements for the development of ecotourism as an environmentally sustainable economic activity. The methodology was quantitative and consisted of field work, through the application of a survey to a sample of 336 inhabitants. The results showed that Tutunendo of the seven elements analyzed, 2 were in an interval of 3.41 - 4.20, indicating a high presence of these elements for the development of ecotourism. 3 were in an interval of 1.81 - 2.60, indicating low presence of these elements. 2 elements, in the interval of 1.00 - 1.80, considered of very low presence. It is concluded that the conditions are not in place to make ecotourism an environmentally sustainable economic activity with an overall average of 2.58, indicating great weaknesses. Thus, the elements that need to be strengthened for the development of ecotourism were identified as follows.
