This article explores some connections between Georg Lukács and Walter Benjamin regarding their relationship with the narrative event, its historicity and its political translation in the organizational mediations that operate in historical dialectics. A genealogical dialectic of the concepts from pre-marxist Lukács is traced, analyzing the spiritual and narrative borrowings that he would later historicize in History and Class Consciusness, and how they can be put into political dialogue with the Benjamin of the Theses on Philosophy of History and The Narrator.
