María subió a la montaña: la privación de libertad como nueva periferia y sus implicaciones morales

    En el número 24 de la exhortación apostólica Evangelii Gaudium, que pasa a ser el texto programático de su pontificado, el papa Francisco, nos habla de la Iglesia en salida, como la comunidad de los discípulos misioneros que reconocen la primacía del amor de Jesucristo hacia nosotros y que por ello se adelantan sin miedo a ir a invitar a los excluidos. Anteriormente, en el número 20, nos ha dado la clave de este salir hacia la periferia: “cada cristiano y cada comunidad discernirá cual es el camino que el Señor le pide, pero todos somos invitados a aceptar este llamado: salir de la propia comodidad y atreverse a llegar a todas las periferias que necesitan la luz del Evangelio”.

    In number 24 of the Apostolic Exhortation Evangelii Gaudium, which becomes the programmatic text of his pontificate, Pope Francis speaks to us about the Church that goes forth, as the community of missionary disciples who recognize the primacy of the love of Jesus Christ for us and who therefore come forward without fear to go and invite the excluded. Previously, in number 20, he gave us the key to this going out to the periphery: “each Christian and each community will discern what is the path that the Lord asks of them, but we are all invited to accept this call: to leave our own comfort zone and dare to reach out to all the peripheries that need the light of the Gospel”.
