    En la República de Guatemala, el Registro de la Propiedad es uno de los más importantes, gracias a él se ha podido brindar seguridad jurídica a la propiedad y diversas operaciones de bienes inmuebles en el país indicado. Su función, sin embargo, no está completa, en cuanto a que ha tenido que irse adaptando a los tiempos, incluyendo incorporar la tecnología en su funcionamiento, además de intentar de forma constante facilitar la experiencia de sus usuarios. Eso incluye conocer los principios que lo rigen, la forma en la cual sus operaciones se relacionan con otras ramas del derecho, además de la explicación de la aplicación cada vez mayor de las nuevas tecnologías. Las capacitaciones y constantes actualizaciones a sus colaboradores han permitido que se pueda generar certeza jurídica sobre sus actividades. Esto último es trascendente porque es la base de la seguridad jurídica que la propiedad de los bienes debe tener. Todo su esfuerzo resultaría insuficiente si no se aprovechara la oportunidad de divulgar sus procesos, así como su forma de operar para hacer más accesible al gran público sus funciones. Se propone aquí una semblanza del Registro de la Propiedad, y del reconocimiento de los criterios registrales por parte de la máxima tribunal constitucional del país.

    In the Republic of Guatemala, the Property Registry is one of the most important, thanks to it it has been possible to provide legal security to the property and various real estate operations in the indicated country. Its function, however, is not complete, in that it has had to adapt to the times, including incorporating technology into its operation, in addition to constantly trying to facilitate the experience of its users. This includes knowing the principles that govern it, the way in which its operations relate to other branches of law, in addition to explaining the increasing application of new technologies. The training and constant updates to its collaborators have allowed legal certainty to be generated about their activities. The latter is important because it is the basis of the legal security that the ownership of the assets must have. All their efforts would be insufficient if they did not take advantage of the opportunity to disseminate their processes, as well as their way of operating to make their functions more accessible to the general public. Here we propose a profile of the Property Registry, and the recognition of the registration criteria by the highest constitutional court in the country.
