Resumen de La violencia de género en Getafe (Madrid): El perfil del agresor

  Diversos estudios en el ámbito criminológico indican un auge de la violencia de género en la actualidad, siendo este un fenómeno preocupante, y de ahí la necesidad de indagar, entre otros aspectos, acerca de la figura del agresor (Mora y Montes-Berges, 2010; Huertas, 2020). Por tanto, el objetivo de esta investigación es analizar el perfil del agresor de violencia de género y estudiar la relación entre los factores de riesgo del Sistema VioGén y la reincidencia de este tipo de sujetos.

  Para ello, se ha trabajado, a través de un muestreo deliberado, con 189 hombres condenados por un delito de violencia de género en el término municipal de Getafe en 2023, cuyas edades están comprendidas entre los 17 y los 82 años. Para el análisis de las variables del estudio se ha empleado el formulario VPER, que forma parte del Sistema VioGén. Los resultados indican que los sujetos estudiados eran en su mayoría españoles, que cometieron, principalmente, delito de maltrato habitual, y su grado de especialización delictiva es elevado, siendo la mitad reincidentes, en su mayoría contra la misma víctima. No se ha detectado que la presencia de trastornos mentales y las adicciones influyan en la probabilidad de reincidir, hecho que sí se confirma con los antecedentes policiales y el quebrantamiento de condena.

  Various studies in the criminological field indicate a current rise in gender violence, which is a worrying phenomenon, and hence the need to investigate, among other aspects, the figure of the aggressor (Mora and Montes-Berges, 2010; Huertas, 2020). Therefore, the aim of this research is to analyse the profile of the aggressor of gender violence and to study the relationship between the risk factors of the VioGen System and the recidivism of this type of subjects. To do this, we have worked, through a deliberate sampling, with 189 men convicted of a crime of gender violence in the municipality of Getafe in 2023, whose ages range between 17 and 82 years. The VPER form, which is part of the VioGen System, was used to analyse the study variables. The results indicate that the subjects studied were mostly Spaniards, who mainly committed habitual offences of abuse, and their degree of criminal specialisation is high, with half of them being repeat offenders, mostly against the same victim. The presence of mental disorders and addictions has not been found to influence the probability of recidivism, a fact that is confirmed by police records and broken sentences.
