  • An album of drawings by Bernardino Campi in the Archivio Borromeo, Isola Bella, Lake Maggiore, contains copies of the lost series of portraits of the Caesars painted by Titian for the Ducal Palace in mantua. Dated 1561, they may have been made as the basis for Campi's painted copies of the Caesars, the accuracy of which they confirm
