En la primera mitad del siglo XX culminó el proceso de transformación de las huertas del Alcázar de Sevilla en jardines. En los años 40 y 50, en los espacios libres que aún quedaban, se realizaron los últimos. Hasta el momento, existe una cierta controversia acerca de la fecha exacta en que se realizaron, quién o quiénes fueron sus autores y el motivo de su construcción. Tras la consulta de diversos archivos y fondos documentales, este artículo pretende arrojar luz sobre tales asuntos y precisar con mayor claridad todo lo relativo a los que han sido los últimos jardines del Alcázar.

The first half of the 20th century saw the culmination of the process of transforming the orchards of the Alcazar of Seville into gardens. In the 1940s and 1950s, in the remaining free spaces, the last ones were built. To this day, there is some controversy about the exact date when they were built, who built them, and why they were constructed. After consulting various archives and documentary collections, this article aims to shed light on this matter and to clarify more clearly everything related to what were the last gardens of the Alcazar.
