En la Catedral Hispalense se han venido localizando ciertas monteas (dibujos grabados sobre material pétreo, a escala real), tanto sobre las propias piedras a tallar como sobre solerías cerámicas de sus cubiertas (caso de trabajo seriado o grandes detalles constructivos), pertenecientes a etapas gótica y renacentista.
Cuestiones que se han ido publicando desde finales de los años 80 hasta nuestros días. Este artículo recoge información de tales investigaciones y sus publicaciones, centrándose especialmente en el último estudio llevado a cabo en la Puerta del Bautismo, para establecer un proceso de intervención ante material tan sensible y perecedero.
In the Cathedral of Seville, certain monteas (drawings engraved on stone material, on a real scale) have been located, both on the stones themselves and on ceramic flooring on their roofs (case of serial work or large construction details), belonging to gothic and renaissance stages. Issues published from the late 1980s to the present day. This article collects information from such investigations and their publications, focusing especially on the last one carried out at the Baptism Door, to establish a process of intervention of such sensitive and perishable material.
