En el presente artículo se estudia el histórico conjunto de bordados que realizase Teresa del Castillo, bajo la idea de su marido Antonio del Canto, entre 1863 y 1865 para la sevillana Hermandad de la Macarena. A pesar de que se creía perdido, gracias a la abundante documentación existente se ha podido profundizar y actualizar su historia material, logrando identificar entre su patrimonio actual una de las piezas que lo componían, reasignando su autoría.
This article examines the historical ensemble of embroideries created by Teresa del Castillo, under the guidance of her husband Antonio del Canto, between 1863 and 1865 for the Sevillian Brotherhood of La Macarena. Despite being believed lost, abundant existing documentation has allowed for a deeper and updated understanding of its material history, leading to the identification of one of the pieces that comprised it within its current heritage, along with the reassignment of authorship.
