A medida que el Archivo Internacional de Mujeres en Arquitectura (IAWA) completa su cuarta década en funcionamiento, se detiene para reflexionar sobre sus objetivos originales dentro del contexto del cual surgió; una iniciativa entre muchas contribuyendo al esfuerzo por preserver el legado de las mujeres en la arquitectura. El IAWA busca no sólo comprender mejor su papel en el contexto actual sino también reimaginar su contribución a un futuro equitativo, presentando aquí una propuesta.

As the International Archive of Women in Architecture (IAWA) completes its fourth decade in operation it pauses to reflect on its original goals within the context from which it emerged, as one initiative amongst many, in the quest to preserve the legacy of women in architecture. The IAWA seeks not only to better understand its role in the present context but also to reimagine its contribution to an equitable future, presenting here a proposition.
