Resumen de Tradução teatral e trajetória: memória de um processo formativo

The purpose of this article is a self-reflection. It is about describing and establishing a critical retrospective look at my own theatrical training carried out between 1982 and 1989, at the UNI-RIO Theater School in Rio de Janeiro. I start from the premise that 30 years after the beginning of these university studies, I will be able to revisit this training for directors in performing arts, from the place occupied (or not) by the translation of foreign theatrical texts worked by us. It is about the construction of a self-criticism about the training standard that was given not only to me, but to a good generation of graduates of this public education establishment and other similar ones throughout Brazil, concluding with a personal reflection on the translation of theatrical texts.

O objetivo desse artigo é uma autorreflexão. Trata-se de descrever e estabelecer um olhar crítico retrospectivo, sobre a minha própria formação teatral realizada entre os anos de 1982 e 1989, na Escola de Teatro da UNI-RIO no Rio de Janeiro. Parto da premissa que passados 30 anos do início desses estudos universitários, eu seja capaz de revisitar essa formação para diretores em artes cênicas, desde o lugar ocupado (ou não) pela tradução de textos teatrais estrangeiros trabalhados por nós. Trata-se da construção de uma autocritica acerca do padrão formativo que foi dispensado não somente a mim, mas a uma boa geração de formandos desse estabelecimento de ensino público e outros similares Brasil afora, concluindo com uma reflexão pessoal sobre a tradução de textos teatrais.
