  • Paracetamol is a widely used medicine that may not raise too much interest in the casual citizen. However, even if it is so used, there are still many secrets around its mechanism of action. In this review, we will develop paracetamol’s context, chemical and structural properties, how it acts within the organism including its metabolization and action regarding the central nervous system and even endocannabinoid receptors; and adverse effects, in order to show the complexity behind such a mundane compound.
