    Segimon Serrallonga va ser dels primers que, modernament, es va preocupar de manera seriosa per les literatures del Pròxim Orient Antic. I gairebé sense contextos que ho afavorissin. Aquest article té com a primer objectiu resseguir la història textual de les traduccions de textos sumeris i accadis que Segimon Serrallonga va incloure al volum, ja pòstum, Versions de poesia antiga (2002). El segon objectiu és establir, al llarg d'aquestes històries textuals, la relació de Serrallonga amb les literatures i les llengües mesopotàmiques al llarg del temps i el grau de familiaritat que hi va tenir, tot plegat en relació amb el pensament poetològic i traductològic de l'autor.

    Segimon Serrallonga was one of the first who, in modern times, was seriously concerned in the Catalan context with the literatures of the Ancient Near East. The first objective of this article is to trace the textual history of the translations of Sumerian and Akkadian texts that Segimon Serrallonga included in the posthumous volume Versions de poesia antiga (2002). The second objective is to establish, throughout these textual histories, what was Serrallonga's relationship with Mesopotamian literature and languages over time and the degree of familiarity he had with them.
