  Se denomina extensión axial a la capacidad que tiene el cuerpo de alinear el tronco sobre su propio eje vertical desde la pelvis hasta la cabeza. A través de la fisioterapia vamos a aplicar a la paciente en estudio distintas maniobras terapéuticas mediante las cuales vamos a trabajar la musculatura del tronco hasta conseguir la extensión axial y así mejorar considerablemente su calidad de vida. Como objetivo se plantea conseguir una sedestación independiente y a largo plazo una bipedestación lo más autónoma posible. El caso clínico es sobre una paciente que ha sufrido un accidente cerebro vascular (ACV) isquémico por infarto de la arteria cerebral media (ACM) derecha en marzo del 2022.Persiste Hemiplejia izquierda con heminegligencia, en principio muy agudizada, actualmente bastante corregida. Vocaliza y articula bien las palabras y ha recuperado bastante bien la memoria.

  La paciente permanece ingresada en el Hospital y recibe tratamiento diario de treinta minutos la sesión.

  Axial extension is the ability of the body to align the trunk on its own vertical axis from the pelvis to the head. Through physiotherapy we are going to apply to the patient to study different therapeutic maneuvers through which we are going to work the muscles of the trunk until the axial extension is followed and thus considerably improve her quality of life. The objective is to achieve independent sitting, and in the long term a standing position that is as autonomous as possible. The clinical case is about a patient who has suffered an ischemic stroke due to infarction of the right middle cerebral artery in march 2022.Left hemiplegia persist with initially very acute hemineglect, currently quite corrected.Vocalizes and articulates words well and she has recovered her memory quite well.

  The patient remains admitted to the hospital and receives daily physiotherapy treatment for thirty minutes a session.
