At 50 years of the Pedagogy of the Oppressed, published in 1968, and in times of the rise of obscurantism and hatred of thought, in Brazil and beyond, keeping Paulo Freire's legacy alive is an act of philosophical, educational, and political resistance. This is the purpose of these philosophicalpedagogical notes, because in the face of the indigence of hatred which has been the object of the greatest educator of this country in the 21st century, we can do nothing but respond with the intelligent weapons of critical reason to the aggressions of authoritarianism and of power without knowing.

Aos 50 anos da Pedagogia do oprimido, publicada em 1968, e em tempos de ascensão do obscurantismo e do ódio ao pensamento, no Brasil e mais além, manter vivo o legado de Paulo Freire é um ato de resistência filosófica, educativa e política. É este o objetivo dessas notas filosóficopedagógicas, porque diante da indigência do ódio de que tem sido objeto, em pleno século XXI, o educador maior desse país, nada nos cabe senão responder com as armas inteligentes da razão crítica às agressões do autoritarismo e do poder sem saber.
