  La anticoncepción, enmarcada dentro del derecho a la salud sexual y reproductiva, persigue el objetivo de ofrecer a las mujeres y a los hombres sistemas de control de la natalidad que sean eficaces, seguros y fáciles de utilizar. Así mismo, pretende abarcar la existencia de suficiente variedad de opciones anticonceptivas para poder acomodarse a las características específicas de cada usuario1. El implante subcutáneo se presenta como uno de los métodos anticonceptivos hormonales con mayor eficacia.

  Contraception, framed within the right to sexual and reproductive health, pursues the objective of offering women and men birth control systems that are effective, safe and easy to use. Likewise, it aims to cover the existence of a sufficient variety of contraceptive options to be able to accommodate the specific characteristics of each user1. The subcutaneous implant is presented as one of the most effective hormonal contraceptive methods.
