  Este artículo tiene como principal objetivo estudiar los determinantes de la autopercepción de felicidad en la Argentina entre 2005 y 2007, utilizando información de la Encuesta de la Deuda Social Argentina (EDSA) relevada por la Universidad Católica Argentina (UCA). El estudio se lleva a cabo mediante un análisis estadístico descriptivo y una serie de modelos econométricos multivariados de tipo logit ordenado que permitieron identificar la percepción de suficientes determinantes que afectan la autopercepción de felicidad de manera positiva yestadísticamente significativa: el ingreso; el estado de salud autopercibido; el empleo y su calidad; el estado civil; la cantidad de hijos en el hogar; la menor discriminación percibida; estar en comunión con Dios; y el tiempo libre.

  The aim of the study is to contribute to the knowledge of the characteristics of the explanatory speech produced during 39 storybook reading in 13 middle income argentinean homes when children were 30 and 42 months old. The explanatory discourse units produced during the exchanges about the story were analyzed according to the type of explanation, who initiated and produced them, and their level of distance from the immediate environment of the situation. Results showed the potential of storybook reading for the production of complex explanatory speech in comparison with play and meal situations. Differences were found according to children’s age and to familiarity with the story read. The pedagogical implications of the study are highlighted.
