    En la poesía sánscrita confluyen aspectos sumamente importantes de la lírica que promueven las emociones y los sentimientos humanos desde la óptica del erotismo. La prestigiosa tradición literaria sánscrita se centra básicamente en la construcción poética y en la invención de personajes estereotipados que promueven las convenciones literarias de la lírica sánscrita. Los partícipes de estos afluentes de emociones y sentimientos encarnan las dos figuras primordiales en la literatura erótica sánscrita: el nāyaka (héroe) y la nāyikā (heroína). Estos dos personajes han sido descritos en distintas obras sobre poética sánscrita. De aquí parte el interés y el objetivo esencial de estas líneas de investigación sobre poética sánscrita a través de la teorización y del análisis que hacen los teóricos sánscritos tanto del héroe como de la heroína

    In Sanskrit poetry, extremely important aspects of poetry converge that promote human emotions and feelings from the perspective of eroticism. The prestigious Sanskrit literary tradition is basically centered on the poetic construction and the invention of stereotyped characters that promote the literary conventions of the Sanskrit lyric. The participants in these affluents of emotions and feelings embody the two characters have been described in different works on Sanskrit poetics. Hence the interest and the essential objective of these lines of research on Sanskrit poetics through the theorization and analysis made by Sanskrit theorists of both the hero and the heroine
