    El Área Recreativa Lago Gatún (ARLG), forma parte de las cuatro zonas propuestas en el Plan de Acción para el desarrollo de Turismo Verde en Áreas Protegidas de Panamá, sin embargo, hay pocos estudios sobre diversidad y conservación de sus recursos naturales, en particular su fauna, que pueda ser útil para demarcar senderos de interpretación. Con el objetivo de actualizar el listado sobre la Riqueza, Abundancia y Estado de Conservación de anfibios en el ÁRLG, se realizó entre los meses de abril y diciembre de 2021 un inventario de anfibios. Se utilizó el método de observación directa para el registro de individuos y el uso de claves taxonómicas para la identificación de las especies; los individuos no identificados in situ fueron fotografiados y contrastados con especímenes del Museo de Vertebrados de la Universidad de Panamá. Se registraron 575 individuos en 12 especies y 8 Familias.  Once de las doce especies reportadas son nuevos registros para el lugar. Las especies más abundantes fueron Engystomops pustulosus y Agalychnis callidryas con 277 y 88 individuos, respectivamente. Agalychnis callidryas fue la única especie en categoría de preocupación menor de acuerdo a la UICN.  El total de especies registradas para el ARLG resulta una importante contribución al conocimiento de la riqueza de anuros de la zona.

    The Gatun Lake Recreational Area (ARLG), is part of the four zones proposed in the Action Plan for the development of Green Tourism in Protected Areas of Panama, however, there are few studies on diversity and conservation of its natural resources, in particular its fauna, which can be useful to demarcate interpretation trails. The objectives of study were list the Species richness Abundance and Conservation Status of amphibians in the ÁRLG, an inventory of amphibians was carried out between April and December 2021. The direct observation method was used for the registration of individuals and the use of taxonomic keys for the identification of the species; unidentified individuals in situ were photographed and contrasted with specimens from the Vertebrate Museum of the University of Panama. 575 individuals in 12 species and 8 families were recorded. Eleven of the twelve reported species are new records for the place. The most abundant species were Engystomops pustulosus and Agalychnis callidryas with 277 and 88 individuals, respectively. Agalychnis callidryas was the only species in the category of least concern according to the IUCN. The total number of species registered for the ARLG is an important contribution to the knowledge of the richness of anurans in the area.
