El criterio para la elección de fuentes en la investigación humanística y en ciencias sociales representa un largo e incómodo debate entre los investigadores. Las estrategias para determinar la confiabilidad de las fuentes y su jerarquía están siendo reformuladas, en gran medida porque los objetos de investigación y los espacios donde convergen los fenómenos o problemas a investigar también se transforman. Esto no sólo obliga a reflexionar entre los profesionales del área. El ejercicio reflexivo también es necesario en la labor docente si se considera la creciente cantidad de estudiantes que meditan acerca de temáticas que involucran información web.

The criteria to select information sources in humanistic and social sciences Research represents a long and uncomfortable debate among researchers. The strategies to determine the reliability of the sources and its hierarchy are being reformulated, mostly because of the transformations of the research objects and the spaces in which they converge. This not only forces reflection among professionals in the area. The reflection is also necessary in teaching taking into account the growing amount of students who meditate on topics involving web information.
