“Colonialismo” y “vínculo telúrico” en la obra de Carlos Astrada

    El presente artículo se propone rastrear en la obra de Carlos Astrada los conceptos de “colonialismo” y “vínculo telúrico”. Para ello haremos una exégesis del libro El mito gaucho, publicado en el año 1948, en donde nuestro autor realiza una filosofía de la argentinidad a la luz de su interpretación del Martín Fierro en el momento de esplendor del gobierno de Perón. Luego interpretaremos las obras que datan de su alejamiento del peronismo y su interés por la filosofía latinoamericana, tales como “Mito, tiempo e historicidad”, en donde nuestro autor comienza a mostrar sus análisis en torno a otras piezas literarias como el Chilam Balam de la cultura maya, y su conferencia titulada “La filosofía latinoamericana como exponente de una cultura autónoma”, en donde plantea la necesidad de una emancipación del pensamiento europeo. En esa línea analizaremos el texto El marxismo y las escatologías, de 1957 donde reconoce la importancia del calendario azteca y del Popol Vuh. Ya para 1963, cuando publica Tierra y figura, encontramos la ampliación de su horizonte desde la pampa hacia la selva y los andes. En el análisis de la segunda edición de El mito gaucho mostraremos cómo aboga por la construcción de una gauchocracia comunitaria.  Finalmente, daremos cuenta del modo en que muchos de estos conceptos han sido tematizados por la siguiente generación de filósofos, en especial los que conformaron el movimiento denominado “Filosofía de la liberación”.

    This article aims to trace the concepts of “colonialism” and “telluric bond” in the work of Carlos Astrada. To do this, we will do an exegesis of the book The Gaucho Myth, published in 1948, where our author makes a philosophy of Argentina in light of his interpretation of Martín Fierro in the era of splendor of the Perón government. Then we will interpret the works that date from his departure from Peronism and his interest in Latin American philosophy such as “Myth, Time and Historicity” where our author begins to show his analysis of other literary pieces such as the Chilam Balam of the Mayan culture. And his conference titled “Latin American Philosophy as an Exponent of an Autonomous Culture” where he raises the need for an emancipation of European thought. Along these lines, we will analyze the text Marxism and Eschatologies, from 1957 where he recognizes the importance of the Aztec calendar and the Popol Vuh. Around 1963, when he published Land and Figure, we find the expansion of his horizon from the pampas to the jungle and the Andes. In the analysis of the second edition of The Gaucho Myth, we will show how he advocates the construction of a community “gauchocracy”. Finally, we will realize how many of these concepts have been thematized by the next generation of philosophers, especially those who formed the “Philosophy of Liberation” movement.
