1. Se examinan bacteriológicamente 250 muestras de carnes procesadas recogidas en dos fábricas de embutidos de San José. 2. Organismos del género Salmonella fueron aislados de 20 (8%) las muestras. 3. Se aíslan 22 cepas, identificándose 8 diferentes serotipos, entre los que predominaron S. newport y S. reading.
1. Two-hundred and fifty samples of processed meats from two of San Jose's meat processing establishments were examined bacteriologically. 2. Salmonella was recovered from 20 (8%) of the samples. 3. Twenty-two strains of Salmonella were isolated, corresponding to eight different serotypes, among which, S. newport and S. reading were most prevalent.
