Historia del pacifismo y la solidaridad con Palestina en Israel entre 1948 y el Proceso de Oslo

    Desde el comienzo del proyecto sionista de colonización de Palestina, e incluso desde la creación del Estado israelí, ha existido un sector crítico, disidente del sionismo y contestatario a sus principales políticas respecto a Palestina y a los/as palestinas. Se trata de un sector minoritario en la sociedad israelí pero que consideramos destacable en términos cualitativos y que, sin embargo, suele estar invisibilizado. En este sentido nos centramos en el estudio de los grupos críticos y en cierta medida disidentes del sionismo que constituyen, por una parte, el llamado “campo de la paz” israelí y, por otra, la minoría antisionista entre 1948, cuando se crea el Estado de Israel en Palestina, y 1993, cuando se firman los acuerdos de Oslo, es decir durante todo el periodo que comprende el “conflicto árabe-israelí” y la I Intifada palestina. Así, nos planteamos las siguientes cuestiones: ¿hubo algún tipo de movimiento por la paz significativo en las décadas inmediatamente posteriores a la creación del Estado de Israel y a la Primera Guerra Árabe-israelí? ¿Cuándo tomaría verdadera forma y fuerza dicho movimiento? ¿Puede hablarse de un sector homogéneo en su forma de trabajar y en sus objetivos? ¿Hasta qué punto esos grupos y activistas consiguen presionar a la “clase política” israelí? Para contestar a esas preguntas el presente trabajo plantea un análisis histórico descriptivo de la Historia de los grupos pacifistas israelíes, destacando los más determinados en su defensa de la autodeterminación del pueblo palestino, la búsqueda de soluciones pacíficas junto a la sociedad palestina y, a partir de 1967, la oposición radical a la ocupación y a la colonización de Jerusalén, Gaza y Cisjordania.

    Since the beginning of the zionist colonisation project in Palestine, and even since the creation of the Israeli State, there has been a dissident group of the zionism that has been rebellious to its main political ideas respecting Palestine and the palestinians. They are a minority sector of the israeli society, yet qualitatively significant, that has been normally unseen. In this sense, we’re focusing on the study of the critical groups and somehow dissident of the zionism that constitute, on the one hand the so-called israelí “peace field” and on the other hand the anti zionist minority.

    In this way, we set out the following questions: Can we say there was some kind of significant peace movement in the decades that were immediately subsequent to the formation of the Israeli State and to the first Arab-Israeli War? When would that movement really come into focus? Can we talk about an homogeneous sector respecting the way they work and their objectives? To what extent those groups and activists manage to put pressure on the israeli political class? In order to answer these questions this paper sets out an descriptive historical analysis of the history of the israeli pacifist groups emphasising the more determined in their defense of the palestinian self-determination, the search of non-violent solutions along with the palestinian society and, from 1967, the radical opposition to the occupation and colonisation of Jerusalem, Gaza and West Bank.
