    La Liturgia monástica es parte importante del patrimonio inmaterial del cristianismo. Su estructura fraguó en la Edad Antigua con las primeras reglas monásticas. En la Edad Media alcanzó la grandiosidad de una catedral románica. La inevitable alternancia de esplendor y decadencia, motivó las reformas que tendían a la unificación y sobriedad. Desde finales del siglo XII se acentuó el protagonismo de los clérigos, y los fieles buscaron alternativas pasando de la liturgia a la remembranza. La vemos protagonizada por tres figuras femeninas: Hildegard von Bingen (1098-1179), Caterina de Bolonia (1413-1463) y Juana de la Cruz (1481-1534). En el siglo XXI recuperamos la remembranza, heredando la tradición de las maestras medievales.

    The monastic Liturgy is an important part of the intangible heritage of Christianity. Its structure was forged in ancient times with the first monastic rules. In the Middle Ages it reached the grandeur of a Romanesque cathedral. The inevitable alternation of splendor and decadence motivated reforms that tended towards unification and sobriety. From the end of the 12th century, the role of clerics was accentuated, and the faithful looked for alternatives, moving from the liturgy to remembrance. We see it starring three female figures: Hildegard von Bingen (1098-1179), Catherine of Bologna (1413-1463) and Joan of the Cross (1481-1534). In the 21st century we recover remembrance, inheriting the tradition of medieval teachers.
