    El santuario de Nuestra Señora de Pastoriza es un lugar emblemático de la religiosidad popular en Galicia, especialmente en el área de la provincia coruñesa. A su alrededor se han tejido numerosas tradiciones y leyendas que giran en torno a la imagen titular del templo, a quien se atribuyen múltiples milagros que acreditan los exvotos ofrecidos por los fieles como agradecimiento a los favores recibidos. Vinculados al santuario aparecen otros factores que lo definen como lugar de peregrinación, entre los que destacan ceremonias y romerías que se mantienen en vigor desde sus orígenes, quizá medievales, hasta el momento actual.

    The sanctuary of Our Lady of Pastoriza is an emblematic place of popular religiosity in Galicia, especially around the province os A Coruña. Numerous traditions and legends have been woven around it which revolve around the titular image of the temple to whom multiple miracles are attributed, accredited by the votive offerings presented by the faithful as gratitude for the favors received. Linked to the shrine are other factors that define it as a place of pilgrimage, including ceremonies and processions that have been in force since their origins, perhaps medieval, to the present day.
