Resumen de Empatía y funciones psicológicas de atención y memoria en una muestra de estudiantes universitarios

  Introducción: El objetivo del estudio fue estimar la relación entre la empatía y las funciones psicológicas de atención y memoria en una muestra de estudiantes de último año de la carrera de Medicina per-tenecientes a una universidad privada de la ciudad de Pereira. Metodología: se aplicó el Test de Empatía Cognitiva y Afectiva (TECA) a 82 participantes, de los cuales 21 diligenciaron la batería Neuropsi de Atención y Memoria. Resultados: Existen relaciones significativas entre las subvariables de empatía, subvariable adopción de perspectivas de la empatía y el total de atención y memoria, en los estudiantes universitarios de me-dicina. Sin embargo, es necesario profundizar y realizar otras inves-tigaciones con dichas variables.

  Introduction: The objective of the study was to estimate the rela-tionship between empathy and the psychological functions of atten-tion and memory in a sample of students in the last year of Medicine from a private university in the city of Pereira. Methodology: The Test of Cognitive and Affective Empathy (TECA) was applied to 82 participants, of which 21 filled out the Neuropsi ba-ttery of Attention and Memory. Results: It is concluded that there are relationships between the sub-variables of empathy, likewise, between the subvariable adoption of perspectives of empathy and the total attention and memory in me-dical university students, however, it will be essential to deepen and carry out other investigations with these variables
