Resumen de La conformación de un área de investigación en escritura académica para carreras de Ingeniería

Este artículo plantea la conformación de un área de investigación dentro de los estudios sobre escritura académica en la universidad: la enseñanza de escritura académica en ingenierías. Parte de preguntarse por qué persisten resistencias a incluir este objeto de enseñanza, si el mundo profesional exige competencias comunicativas y escriturales efectivas y precisas. Revisa antecedentes, los categoriza y sistematiza y se encuadra en el movimiento teórico Escribir a través de las disciplinas. Construye cuatro dimensiones, identitaria, epistemológica, pedagógica y contextual y las combina para delimitar problemas particulares. Finalmente, plantea nuevas preguntas en torno a las transformaciones producidas por los planes de acompañamiento y enseñanza de la escritura o en el rol que tienen las instituciones en estas propuestas, entre otras.

This article proposes the conformation of a research area within studies on academic writing at the university: the teaching of academic writing in engineering. It begins by asking why resistance persists to including this teaching object, if the professional world requires effective and precise communicative and writing skills.
It reviews antecedents, categorizes and systematizes them and is part of the theoretical movement Writing across the disciplines. It constructs four dimensions, identity, epistemological, pedagogical and contextual, and combines them to delimit particular problems.
Finally, it proposes new questions about the transformations produced by the writting support and teaching plans or the role that institutions have in these proposals, among others.
