  • Resumen
    • At the constitutional level, the protection of religious freedom in Poland does not differ significantly from that provided by the constitutions of other European states. However, a comprehensive overview of the overall challenges to religious freedom within a country can only be achieved through an analysis of case law. The Polish case law is rich in declarations of respect for religious freedom, although it should be noted that the Catholic Church actually enjoys greater protection than religious minorities. This is largely due to the jurisprudence of the Constitutional Tribunal, which has long tended to favour the majority religion. An interesting context for the issues analysed in this article is the rapid secularisation of Polish society
