    Este estudio cierra una importante brecha existente en la literatura sobre el verdadero Coste Social del Carbono (CSC) al estimar los daños no financieros resultantes de la emisión de dióxido de carbono (CO2). Mediante una revisión sistemática de la literatura, esta investigación sintetiza los métodos necesarios para calcular las repercusiones globales que las emisiones de CO2 pueden producir. La metodología, replicable en cualquier territorio nacional, se aplica a un caso de estudio realizado en Estados Unidos. Los resultados demuestran que el umbral inferior del CSC en Estados Unidos para el año 2023 se estima en aproximadamente $287 por tonelada métrica de CO2 equivalente

    This study addresses a substantial void in the existing literature on the true Social Cost of Carbon (SCC) by estimating the non-financial damages resulting from the release of carbon dioxide (CO2). Employing a systematic literature review, this investigation synthesizes the methods needed to calculate the overall repercussions that CO2 emissions may exert. The methodology, which is replicable in any national territory, is applied to a case study conducted in the United States. The findings demonstrate that the lowest threshold of the SCC in the U.S. for the year 2023 is estimated at approximately $287 per metric ton of CO2 equivalent
