    Se documenta que el pintor y escultor Cristóbal Ramírez era natural de La Orotava (Tenerife), desde donde se trasladaría a Sevilla para realizar su formación, y se analiza su colaboración en la introducción de la traza herreriana en la isla de Tenerife a través de su trabajo en los retablos mayores de la parroquia de Nuestra Señora de la Concepción de La Orotava y de Nuestra Señora de la Concepción de San Cristóbal de La Laguna. También se apunta su relación con el neoplatonismo.

    We document the fact that the painter and sculptor Cristóbal Ramirez was born in La Orotava (Tenerife) from where he moved to Seville for his training, and we analyze his collaboration in the introduction of the Herrerian style in the island of Tenerife through his work on the main altarpieces of the parish of Our Lady of the Conception of La Orotava and Our Lady of the Conception of the La Laguna. Its relationship with Neoplatonism is also studied.
