El articulo profundiza en el entramado de parentescos de Alfonso X con la mayoría de las cortes europeas y las personas que gestaron las politicas matrimoniales que hicieron de este monarca castellano y de sus descendientes, uno de los linajes más nobles de su tiempo, analizando el Fecho del Imperio en el contexto internacional europeo: el conflicto entre güelfos y gibelinos, la levantisca nobleza castellana y el fracaso de la reunión con el Papa Gregorio X en Beaucaire

This article delves into the tapestry of Alfonso X’s kinship with most of the European courts and into the people who breeded the marriage policies that made this Castilian monarch and his descendants one of the noblest lineages of their time, analyzing the Deed of the Empire in the international European context: the conflict between Guelphs and Ghibellines, the rebellious Castilian nobility and the failure of the meeting with Pope Gregory X in Beaucaire.
