Starting from the proven connections that Petrarch’s Canzoniere, also by virtue of the interpretative contribution of the most famous 16th century commentaries on the Rvf, weaves aposterori with the epic and “marvellous” imagery of Gerusalemme liberata, this paper intends to broaden the perspective of the investigation to the book of amorous rhymes edited and commented by Tasso himself (Mantua, Osanna, 1591), i.e. the collection that proves to be most closely related, within the author’s lyrical production, to the narrative unfolding of the Rerum vulgarium fragmenta

A partire dalle provate connessioni che il Canzoniere, anche in virtù del contributo interpretativo dei più noti commenti cinquecenteschi ai Rvf, intesse a posteriori con l’immaginario epico e meraviglioso della Gerusalemme liberata, si intende allargare la prospettiva di indagine all’edizione di rime amorose curata e commentata dal Tasso medesimo (Mantova, Osanna, 1591), la raccolta che si dimostra più strettamente legata, nell’ambito della produzione lirica dell’autore, alla narrazione dei Rerum vulgarium fragmenta
