El desinterés de la sociedad por la vida pública y las instituciones se manifiesta también en la universidad, ya sea porque el alumnado no lucha ni se entusiasma por defender sus intereses estudiantiles y ciudadanos, o bien porque la propia institución no vive en su interior un ambiente de preocupación que vaya más allá de la formación de profesionales.

Society's lack of interest in public life and institutions is also evident in the university, either because the student body does not fight for and is not enthusiastic about defending its student and citizen interests, or because the institution itself does not experience within itself an atmosphere of concern that goes beyond the training of professionals.
