Engagement laboral en docentes de educación primaria y su relación con variables sociodemográficas: el caso del sector educativo n. 16 del estado de Durango

    Este estudio, aborda el engagement laboral en docentes de educación primaria, y su relación con variables sociodemográficas. Se parte de conceptualizar el engagement laboral, sus dimensiones y antecedentes investigativos en el ámbito educativo. Se aplicaron 226 cuestionarios de la Utrecht Work Engagement (UWES) de 17 ítems, obteniéndose la confiabilidad a través del procedimiento alfa de Cronbach. La información se obtuvo, a través de la descripción estadística de las variables sociodemográficas, los análisis correlacionales R de Pearson y Rho de Spearman, y la prueba inferencial T de Student. Los resultados señalan que los docentes estudiados, presentan un buen nivel de engagement laboral; las variables sociodemográficas, grado académico, edad, estado civil, sexo y antigüedad en el servicio no presentan relación significativa con las dimensiones del engagement; Sin embargo, existen diferencias significativas entre los docentes con formación de normal básica y los que tienen formación de doctorado, referente a la dimensión dedicación del engagement.

    This study addresses work engagement in primary school teachers and its relationship with sociodemographic variables. The starting point is to conceptualize work engagement, its dimensions and research background in the educational field. 226 Utrecht Work Engagement questionnaires with 17 items were applied, obtaining reliability through the Cronbach's alpha procedure. The information was obtained through the statistical description of the sociodemographic variables, the Pearson R and Spearman Rho correlational analyzes, and the Student T inferential test. The results indicate that the teachers studied present a good level of work engagement; certain sociodemographic variables, academic degree, age, marital status, sex and length of service, do not present a significant relationship with the dimensions of engagement. However, there are significant differences between teachers with basic training, and those with doctoral training, regarding the dedication dimension of engagement.
