    Este ensayo constituye un análisis bibliográfico donde intento reflexionar y manifestar la importancia que tiene el enfoque de género para el mejor entendimiento de las relaciones sociales y culturales en distintas sociedades del mundo. Para ello, dentro de las tantas vertientes que puede tener dicho enfoque, me he propuesto por realizar una orientación general sobre las construcciones de masculinidad y feminidad, y las diferentes variables que son objetos de análisis y que se manifiesta en dichas construcciones. He considerado a varios autores e investigadores sobre sus estudios históricos y culturales de las relaciones de género en las sociedades occidentales, así como también a investigaciones particulares en las sociedades peruanas aún no occidentalizadas. Concluyendo, este trabajo intenta ofrecer un mejor panorama sobre cómo a través de la categoría del género se suscita una intención política sobre la construcción y el control del cuerpo de los individuos, mediante la aplicación de normas y repartición de los roles que finalmente conlleva a la formación de los estereotipos culturales de los que tanto nos guiamos y nos relacionamos, tanto consciente como inconscientemente.

    This essay is a bibliographic analysis in which I try to reflect and express the importance of the gender approach to a better understanding of social and cultural relations in different societies of the world. In order to do this, within the many aspects that this approach may have, I have set out to make a general orientation on the construction of masculinity and femininity, and the different variables that are manifested in these constructions that are objects of analysis; considering several authors and researchers on their historical and cultural studies of gender relations from the western societies. As well as particular investigations in Peruvian societies that have not yet westernized. In conclusion, this work will provide a better overview of how, through the category of gender, a political intention is raised about the construction and control of the body of individual, through the application of norms and distribution of roles that finally leads to the formation of cultural stereotypes of which we get guide and relate consciously unconsciously
