"La carretera" (2006): hipótesis para una distopía desde la poética de Pérez-Reverte

    El presente artículo, a través de un ejercicio de literatura comparada, pretende constatar la coincidencia de una serie de mecanismos en la representación del horror mediante la lectura de la novela La carretera (2006), de Cormac McCarthy, desde la poética revertiana (Arturo Pérez-Reverte), de manera que el hecho de indagar dicha coincidencia permita sintetizar tanto en uno como en otro la discursividad del terror bélico, lo que nos lleva a presentar la obra de Cormac McCarthy como un hipotético avance de las cualidades de una posible distopía revertiana por el común acomodo de dichos mecanismos de representación.

    This article, through an exercise in comparative literature, aims to verify the coincidence of a series of mechanisms in the representation of horror by reading Cormac McCarthy’s novel The Road (2006) from the perspective of Revertian poetics (Arturo Pérez-Reverte). The fact of investigating this coincidence allows us to synthesise in both the discursivity of war terror, which leads us to present McCarthy’s work as a hypothetical advance of the qualities of a possible Revertian dystopia by the common accommodation of said mechanisms of representation.
