Los quistes broncogénicos son malformaciones particularmente raras, que derivan del mediastino anterior. Su reporte es infrecuente en pediatría y más raro de localización subcutánea en el cuello. Hay reportados 26 casos hasta la actualidad, el diagnóstico es histopatológico y su tratamiento quirúrgico. Presentamos un lactante con una masa subcutánea cervical que fue extirpada, cuyo reporte microscópico reveló un quiste broncogénico.

Bronchogenic cysts are particularly rare malformations that derive from the anterior mediastinum. Reports in pediatrics is infrequent and more rarely when located subcutaneously in the neck which may produce a fistula in the trachea and cause related complications. To date, there are 26 cases reported, being the diagnosis histopathological and the treatment surgical. We present the case of an infant with an anterior medial cervical subcutaneous mass thatafter being excised the microscopic report revealed a bronchogenic cyst. We discuss the case and perform a literature review.
