    Alrededor del mundo, una persona cada 40 segundos se suicida, por ello el objetivo de la investigación fue; analizar los Intentos Autolíticos de los pacientes que ingresan al Hospital José Carrasco Arteaga y su funcionalidad familiar, en la ciudad de Cuenca, Ecuador. La presente investigación se realizó sobre 50 pacientes, con edades entre 13 a 50 años, se trabajó con labase de datos del AS400, en el periodo 2019 y 2020.Se logró identificar una relación entre; edad, género, estado civil y nivel de estudio del paciente, este grupo lo conforman las adolescentes solteras (13 y 15 años) que cursan la educación secundaria. La funcionalidad de la familia, tiene alta incidencia, sobre el estado emocional del sujeto con actitudes suicidas. Se determinó que el nivel de economía, representa uno de los principales agentes causantes de estas actitudes, estos factores deben ser considerados primordiales para contrarrestar este tipo de actitudes.

    Around the world, one person commits suicide every 40 seconds, therefore the objective of the investigation was; to analyze the Autolytic Attempts of patients admitted to the José Carrasco Arteaga Hospital and their family functionality, in the city of Cuenca, Ecuador. The present investigation was carried out on 50 patients, aged between 13 to 50 years, we worked with the AS400 database, in the period 2019 and 2020. It was possible to identify a relationship between;

    age, gender, marital status and level of study of the patient, this group is made up of single adolescents (13 and 15 years old) who are in secondary education. The functionality of the family has a high incidence on the emotional state of the subject with suicidal attitudes. It was determined that the level of the economy represents one of the main causative agents of these attitudes, these factors should be considered essential to counteract this type of attitudes
