Ensino de genética e bioética: a mediação da atividade pedagógica na produção de novas significações pelo docente de biologia

    In contemporary times, it is increasingly evident that it is necessary beyond the teaching of science and technology, to reflect on the application of this knowledge, on the consequences of them in society, whether they are often positive consequences, but also sometimes negative, depending on the point of view. Bioethics is a field that deals with these issues. Therefore, this work is the result of a research at the Master’s level and started from the following research problem: what are the meanings produced by the biology teacher after participating in a Pedagogical Activity that unites the teaching of genetics and the precepts of Bioethics? With this, a Pedagogical Activity was carried out that problematized the application of knowledge of genetics through discussions of Bioethics, such as abortion. This is a Critical-dialectical research based on Historical-Cultural Psychology. The interview was used for data collection and Discursive Textual Analysis for its analysis. The research participants were students of a third year high school class of a public school, along with the biology teacher of this class. Based on the meanings produced by the teacher, the Pedagogical Activity developed contributed positively to their training, brought new elements to improve their practice in the classroom.

    Em tempos contemporâneos, cada vez mais fica evidente que é preciso além do ensino da ciência e tecnologia, refletir sobre a aplicação deste conhecimento, sobre as consequências deles na sociedade, quer sejam consequências muitas vezes positivas, como também algumas vezes negativas, dependendo do ponto de vista. A Bioética é um campo que se ocupa dessas questões. Diante disso, este trabalho é fruto de uma pesquisa a nível de Mestrado e partiu do seguinte problema de pesquisa: quais as significações produzidas pelo docente de biologia após participar de uma Atividade Pedagógica que une o ensino de genética e os preceitos da Bioética? Com isso, realizou-se uma Atividade Pedagógica que problematizou à aplicação do conhecimento de genética através de discussões da Bioética, tais como o aborto. Trata-se de uma pesquisa Crítico-dialética fundamentada na Psicologia Histórico-Cultural. A entrevista serviu para a coleta de dados e a Análise Textual Discursiva para sua análise.  Os Participantes da pesquisa foram estudantes de uma turma de terceiro ano do ensino médio de uma escola pública, juntamente com a professora de biologia desta turma. Com base nas significações produzidas pela docente, a Atividade Pedagógica desenvolvida contribuiu de forma positiva para sua formação, trouxe elementos novos para aprimorar sua prática em sala de aula.
