    Este artículo ofrece un análisis de la constitución de un sentimiento migrante de orden trasatlántico en el filme Rabia del ecuatoriano Sebastián Cordero, el que ocurre a través de operaciones de decontextualización y recontextualización que muestran cómo ciertas estructuras melodramáticas viajan en el espacio y el tiempo. Se centra en el análisis de la música de la película,en especial del pasillo “Sombras” como catalizador de sensaciones en la medida que funciona para el personaje principal como encuentro de una biografía sentimental de marca nacional, evidenciando su desajuste con el mundo que deja atrás y anunciando su fracaso en el nuevo lugar de la migración que lo rechaza como migrante.

    This article offers an analysis of the constitution of a migrant feeling of transatlantic order in the film Rabia by Ecuadorian filmmaker Sebastián Cordero, which occurs through operations of decontextualization and recontextualization that show how certain melodramatic structures travel in space and time. The argument focuses on the analysis of the movie’s music, especially thepasillo “Sombras” as a catalyst of sensations insofar as it functions for the main character as an encounter of a sentimental biography of national nature, which brings to the fore a mismatch with the world he leaves behind and announcing his failure in the new place of migration that rejects him as a migrant.
