  En una sociedad tan cambiante como la nuestra, el alcance de un desarrollo sostenible en todos los aspectos, a momentos, resulta utópico. Sin embargo, los esfuerzos para lograr una mejor calidad de vida para todos los individuos que la conforman no cesan. El adulto mayor discapacitado como sujeto de derechos representa uno de estos objetivos a vencer, asegurar la protección, respeto a su autonomía y escucha a sus necesidades. En la Introducción de la investigación se traza como propósito profundizar en lo que representan los términos adulto mayor y discapacidad en conjunto. El objetivo general radica en el análisis del sistema de apoyos del adulto mayor discapacitado. Dentro de la Metodologíaaplicada se utilizan métodos teóricos para analizar el binomio adulto mayor-discapacidad y su expresión en el sistema de apoyos como principal objeto de protección. Métodos empíricos como vía para captar de forma más directa y personal la función del sistema de apoyos del adulto mayor discapacitado y, su correcta ejecución. Mediante el instrumento entrevista se obtienen Resultadosrelevantes en cuanto al verdadero estado de vulnerabilidad que presenta el adulto mayor discapacitado en cuanto al sistema de apoyos, así como, se arriba a Conclusiones como lo es la latente necesidad de delimitar las facultades del sistema de apoyos del adulto mayor discapacitado, satisfecha esta necesidad se respeta entonces, su derecho a la toma de decisiones.

  In a society as changing as ours, the achievement of sustainable development in all aspects is at times utopian. However, the efforts to achieve a better quality of life for all the individuals that make it up do not cease. The disabled older adult as a subject of rights represents one of these objectives to be achieved, ensuring protection, respect for their autonomy and listening to their needs. In the Introduction of the research, the purpose of the research is to deepen in what the terms "elderly and disability" represent together. The general objective lies in the analysis of the support system of the disabled older adult. Within the applied methodology, theoretical methods are used to analyze the binomial older adult-disability and its expression in the support system as the main object of protection. Empirical methods as a way to capture in a more direct and personal way the function of the support system of the disabled older adult and its correct execution. By means of the interview instrument, relevant results are obtained regarding the real state of vulnerability of the disabled older adult in terms of the support system, as well as the latent need to delimit the powers of the support system of the disabled older adult, and once this need is satisfied, his right to make decisions is respected.
