  El objetivo general de la investigación fue analizar jurídicamente la contaminación de las afluentes del Río San Antonio a causa de la minería ilegal, Ecuador. La presente investigación utilizó el método cuantitativo el cual produce datos descriptivos, que se originan por la recolección de datos. Apoyado en la revisión documental-bibliográfica. Además, se empleó el método inductivo-deductivo. Se planteó además el método analítico-sintético. Se aplicó además una encuesta. Se concluye que, los derechos de la naturaleza es uno de los temas principales de Caluma porque están siendo violados por las empresas mineras; no sin antes mencionar que el control del día a día sobre este problema le corresponde tanto de las autoridades como del GAD del cantón Caluma, y las comunidades que habitan en la zona, puesto que es una lucha diaria con la naturaleza como principal objeto de conservación.

  The general objective of the research was to legally analyze the contamination of the tributaries of the San Antonio River due to illegal mining, Ecuador. The present research used the quantitative method which produces descriptive data, originating from data collection. Supported by the documentary-bibliographic review. In addition, the inductive-deductive method was used. The analytical-synthetic method was also used. A survey was also applied. It is concluded that the rights of nature are one of the main issues in Caluma because they are being violated by mining companies; not without mentioning that the day-to-day control of this problem corresponds to both the authorities and the GAD of the canton of Caluma, and the communities that live in the area, since it is a daily struggle with nature as the main object of conservation
