Determinación del estado actual del uso de los sistemas de gestión medioambiental en la industria de puertas y ventanas de madera en España.

    Las consideraciones ambientales tienen cada día mayor relevancia para los sectores industriales. En diversos acuerdos internacionales el Gobierno Español se ha comprometido a promover el Desarrollo Sostenible, establecer normativas, decretos y recomendaciones en función de la limitación y reducción de la contaminación. Así, se hace necesario caracterizar las actuaciones medioambientales derivadas de las actividades productivas y tener datos fiables para acometer las acciones en ése sentido. Luego de revisar las estadísticas divulgadas en Bases de Datos públicas, se confirma la importancia en la economía del país del sector industrial y en particular el sector de la madera y el mueble. Se realizó un análisis del estado actual de la integración del factor ambiental en la industria de la madera y el mueble, considerando los aportes de investigaciones en esta materia. La investigación dirigida al subsector de industrias de puertas y ventanas, permitió determinar su situación actual en la gestión medioambiental. Se concluye que existe interés por la temática ambiental y hay cumplimiento de las normativas obligatorias vigentes, pero muy pocas industrias encuestadas, 5 %, tienen implantado algún Sistema de Gestión Medioambiental.

    Mientras, el 90 % de las empresas que respondieron la encuesta poseen algún certificado de calidad, como Certificación AITIM o ISO 9001, por lo que están dadas las condiciones para que las industrias puedan adherirse a las normas ISO 14000 o al Reglamento EMAS.

    Aunque se tiene la desventaja del carácter voluntario que, hasta el momento tienen los mismos. Para lograrlo hay que ser proactivos y se deben aportar, entre otros, instrumentos de fácil aplicación para motivar a quienes toman decisiones en esta industria para integrar el factor ambiental en todo el ciclo de vida de los productos, promover la implantación de SGMA, definir indicadores medioambientales particulares, desarrollar herramientas para la evaluación de comportamiento medioambiental de estas industrias.

    The environmental considerations have bigger relevance every day for the industrial sectors, in diverse international agreements the Spanish Government has committed to promote the Sustainable Development, to settle down normative, ordinances and recommendations in function of the limitation and reduction of the contamination. This way, it becomes necessary to characterize the derived environmental performances of the productive activities and to have reliable data to attack the actions in that sense. After revising the statistics disclosed in public databases, the importance has been confirmed in the economy of the country of the industrial sector and in particular the sector of the wood and the furniture. We have been carried out an analysis of the current state of the integration of the environmental factor in the industry of the wood and the piece of furniture, considering the contributions of investigations in this matter. The investigation directed to the sector of industries of doors and windows, allowed to determine its current situation in the environmental administration. We have concluded that interest exists for the thematic one environmental and there is execution of the normative obligatory effective, but very few interviewed industries, 5%, have implanted some Environmental Management System. While, 90% of the companies that they responded the survey possesses some certificate of quality like Certification AITIM or ISO 9001, for what the conditions are given so that the industries can adhere to the norms ISO 14000 or to the Regulation EMAS, although one has the disadvantage of the voluntary character that, until the moment they have the same ones. To achieve it it is necessary to be active working and they should be contributed, among other, instruments of easy application to motivate those who make decisions in this industry to integrate the environmental factor in the whole life cycle of the products, to promote the installation of SGMA, to define indicators environmental matters, to develop tools for the evaluation of environmental behaviour of these industries.
