    Este trabajo se propone contribuir a las reflexiones sobre la escritura decimonónica por medio de la presentación y análisis de un corpus de preguntas gramaticales constituido a partir de la sección “preguntas y respuestas”, contenidas en la publicación quincenal por entregas El Averiguador Universal, revista dirigida por el polígrafo y erudito José María Sbarbi y Osuna. El análisis de las muestras de este corpus, delimitado según criterios que se estiman precisos, tratará de resolver la pregunta inicial sobre la que se basa este trabajo: ¿sobre qué –y cómo– escriben los lectores-escritores de El Averiguador Universal cuando escriben preguntas sobre la lengua escrita?

    This work aims to contribute to the reflections on nineteenth century writing through the presentation and analysis of a corpus of grammatical questions constituted from the Spanish “Notes and Queries” section contained in El Averiguador Universal, a publication directed by the polygrapher José María Sbarbi y Osuna. The analysis of the samples of this corpus, delimited according to accurate criteria, will try to resolve the initial question on this work: what –and how– do the readers-writers of El Averiguador Universalwrite when they write questions about written language?
