Los textos del teatro del Siglo de Oro se han ido poniendo en la red en diferentes formatos desde imágenes de testimonios a textos procesados. En cuanto a lostextos procesados, la calidad filológica es muy variada, pero han llegado a la redmuchos textos no fiables establecidos con métodos y criterios caducos o sin lamínima solidez ecdótica exigible, frente al excelente panorama que ofrece hoy laedición crítica en papel. Aunque contar con una cantidad de textos importantetiene algunas ventajas, hay que lamentar que se hayan difundido y replicadogran cantidad de textos no fiables y convendrá ser prudentes en su uso para lainvestigación o sencillamente su lectura. Es necesario que desde el ámbito académico se publiquen y difundan las ediciones críticas y textos fiables de que yadisponemos en ediciones críticas digitales, pero también es conveniente explorare idear estrategias de digitalización y difusión más rápida que permitan ponerlosal alcance tanto de la ciudadanía como de la comunidad investigadora segúnunos principios básicos e irrenunciables de Filología y de Humanidades Digitales de calidad en un contexto de Cultura y de Ciencia abiertas.

The plays of the Spanish Golden Age Theater have been disseminated online invarious formats, ranging from images of ancient manuscripts to processed texts.However, the Internet has seen the proliferation of numerous unreliable texts, oftenestablished with outdated methods and criteria, or lacking the necessary meticulouseditorial work.This stands in stark contrast to the high standards set by contemporary critical editions in print. While the digital availability of a vast number of textsoffers certain advantages,, it is regrettable that these unreliable versions have beenwidely disseminated and replicated. Consequently, caution is advised when usingthem for research or casual reading. This predicament underscores the urgency ofbringing critical editions and reliable texts, already available in print, to the digitalrealm. There is a pressing need for high-quality scholarly digital editions that adhereto the principles of Philology and Digital Humanities. Simultaneously, there is merit in exploring expeditious methods of digitalization and rapid dissemination strategies, ensuring that these critical editions and texts are promptly accessible to bothcitizens and the research community. Such efforts must align with the fundamentaland non-negotiable principles of quality in an open culture and science scenario.
