Resumen de Bicci di Lorenzo’s altarpiece for the Compagni family chapel in S. Trinita, Florence
Among Bicci di Lorenzo's finest works is an altarpiece dated 1434 now in Westminster Abbey, London. Its central predella panel is here identified and the identification of the two other surviving predella panels confirmed. This provides a basis for a re-examination of the altarpiece's programme in the context of both the Compagni family chapel and S. Trinita
