    Vivimos en un mundo de constantes cambios donde las instituciones educativas reflejan su sistema social actual. Resulta evidente que se requiere una mayor exigencia en la organización de educación y un compromiso responsable de los educadores, que les permita acoplarse a los nuevos retos que trae el sistema educativo. En estos tiempos la ética organizacional y la responsabilidad social ocupan un lugar importante en las decisiones políticas y públicas del mundo, y en el crecimiento de las empresas; por ello, lo conciben como factores claves para el desarrollo. Por tal motivo, es necesario que todas las personas se sientan comprometidas con la toma de sus decisiones y por sus metas tanto personales, como colectivas; pues, son sus comportamientos y actitudes, los que deben dar respuestas positivas a la problemática ética que acontece. Ante este contexto, surge una interrogante: ¿Qué se necesita para el desarrollo de una institución o empresa?. El presente ensayo tiene como objetivo abordar la importancia que tiene la ética organizacional y la responsabilidad social como factores claves para el desarrollo de las instituciones educativas rurales.

    We live in a world of constant changes where educational institutions reflect their current social system. It is evident that a greater demand is required in the organization of education and a responsible commitment from educators, which allows them to adapt to the new challenges that the educational system brings. In these times, organizational ethics and social responsibility occupy an important place in the political and public decisions of the world, and in the growth of companies; therefore, they conceive it as key factors for development. For this reason, it is necessary that all people feel committed to making their decisions and for their personal and collective goals; therefore, it is their behaviors and attitudes that must give positive responses to the ethical problems that occur. Given this context, a question arises: What is needed for the development of an institution or company?. This essay aims to address the importance of organizational ethics and social responsibility as key factors for the development of rural educational institutions.
