El desarrollo de las habilidades investigativas básicas en los estudiantes en formación inicial de la carrera Educación Primaria, se fundamenta en la necesidad de dirigir sus conocimientos desde acciones coherentes que contribuyan a la apropiación de cada una de dichas habilidades, para prepararlos en la ejecución de una de las funciones profesionales de la educación: la investigación. No obstante, los logros alcanzados en el tratamiento del tema, aún se presentan insuficiencias que han motivado la elaboración de una metodología para desarrollar estas habilidades en los estudiantes de tercer año de la carrera Primaria.

The development of the basic investigative abilities in the students in initial formation of the career Primary is based in the necessity of directing its knowledge from coherent actions that contribute to the appropriation of each one of this abilities, to prepare them in the execution of one of the professional functions of the education: the investigation. Nevertheless, the achievements reached in the treatment of the topic, inadequacies are still presented that have motivated the elaboration of a methodology to develop these abilities in the students of third year of the career Primary.
