    La enfermedad de von Willebrand es la diátesis hemorrágica congénita más frecuente que afecta hasta al 1% de la población mundial. Afecta tanto a hombres como a mujeres. Los síntomas más comunes son: sangrados mucocutáneos, equimosis, sangrados prolongados, hemorragias, epistaxis, gingivorragias. Esta enfermedad se divide en tres clases o tipos el 1, 2 y 3, siendo el tipo 1 y 3 los más fuertes y delicados. Estudios realizados establecen que la EvW generalmente se asocia con enfermedades subyacentes tales como trastornos linfoproliferativos y enfermedades autoinmunes. El objetivo de la investigación fue analizar los tipos de enfermedades de von Willebrand, estrategias diagnósticas y opciones terapéuticas utilizadas en los pacientes. Se realizó una investigación descriptiva con diseño documental, a través de una revisión sistemática en las bases electrónicas Pubmed, Scielo, Elseiver y Google Académico. Se debe considerar que los signos y síntomas de la enfermedad se manifiestan de diferentes formas según el paciente, pudiendo presentarse estos síntomas en forma leves o graves, por lo que es importante realizar una investigación y conocer la historia clínica como los antecedentes familiares del paciente. Estudios mencionan que el tratamiento apropiado depende de la variación genética, las manifestaciones clínicas y gravedad de cada paciente. Por eso, es importante conocer su diagnóstico para saber el tipo de enfermedad que padece y aplicar el tratamiento adecuado.

    Von Willebrand disease is the most common congenital hemorrhagic diathesis that affects up to 1% of the world`s population. It affects both men and women. The most common symptoms are mucocutaneous bleeding, ecchymosis, prolonged bleeding, hemorrhage, epistaxis, gingivorrhagia.

    Studies conducted that vWD are generally associated with underlying diseases such as lymphoproliferative disorders, cardiovascular diseases, myeloproliferative disorders, other neoplasms, and autoimmune diseases. The objective of the research was to analyze the types of von Willebrand disease, strategies, diagnoses and therapeutic options used in patients. A descriptive research with documentary design was carried out, through a systematic review in the electronic databases Pubmed, Scielo, Elseiver and Google Scholar. It should be considered that the signs and symptoms of the disease manifest in different ways according to each patient, and these symptoms may present in mild or severe forms, so it is important to carry out an investigation and know the patient's medical history. Studies mention that the appropriate treatment depends on the genetic variation, the clinical manifestations and severity of each patient. It is important to know your diagnosis to know the type of disease you suffer from and apply the appropriate treatment.
