There is solid empirical evidence that the stereotypes people hold about age and aging are applied in a self-re exive way once they get old themselves.
In this study, we used virtual reality technology to trigger this effect in young people and collected their body movement patterns. The present paper shows computational evidence for changes in head and arm movements as a function of the experimental condition.
